Learn how to set permissions for users to manage plans and purchase add-ons.
Last updated: October 06, 2025

The Plan & add-ons settings can be found by navigating to the person icon in the top right hand corner of Chaser, and clicking into Organization settings > Users. This area allows you to manage subscription details, access billing information, and purchase add-ons. This guide outlines what effect the Plan & add-ons setting will have on your users, and how billing permissions work across your organization.

Who can manage plan and add-on permissions?
All users have plan and add-on permissions by default, and these cannot be disabled. Owner or subscriber users can edit plan and add-on permissions for all other users.
What does the plan and add-ons permission allow?
Users with plan & add-ons permissions can:
- View and manage subscription plans
- Upgrade or downgrade the plan
-
- See all available plans and details
- Purchase add-ons
- Access billing information
- View invoices, payment methods, and billing history
- View credit reports and pack pricing
- Request a collections quote
Users without plan and add-on permissions
Even without billing permissions, users can view the plan & add-ons page to see available plans, pricing, and add-ons. However, all actionable items (e.g., upgrade, downgrade, buy, request) will be unavailable.
Users will see the following message:
"You don’t have permission to perform this action. Please ask your organization owner to grant you the necessary plan and add-on permissions."
How to grant plan and add-on permissions
If you are an owner or subscriber:
- Navigate to your user settings.
- Locate the user whose permissions you want to update.
- Select the plan & add-ons tickbox.

Only owners and subscribers can modify billing-related permissions.
